Christ-Bars-None Prison Ministry January 2018 Newsletter
Hello My Friends,
Great news! On December 16th, our 17th year at the St. Charles, MO county jail, we saw 181 people give their lives to Christ. Forty-seven of these were women. We did 12 services on that Saturday. My good friend, Steve Carroll, played the keyboard and sang Christmas songs and I brought 12 short messages. The Holy Spirit moved more than ever before. Many hearts were ready to receive the Good News. A Savior is born to save His people from their sins. Amen! I have a dozen friends who go in to St. Charles jail every weekend to do follow-up and discipleship, some have gone for 30 years.
When we finished there, Steve and I went to Wright City for the "Misfits for Jesus" supper and service. One adult man in the service came to Christ. Go online and check these guys out , misfitsforjesus.com. They are now in five cities across the U.S. Awesome!
Sunday morning, December 17th, we were at the Silex, Missouri, Assembly of God Church. In that service a 33 year old mother came to Christ. She was separated from her husband and they are now back together. God is good all the time.
The last two days of December, nine friends and I went to Angola Prison and did four chapel services and spent one morning on death row and the prison hospital in the afternoon. Seven men came to Him. Thanks for the "Socks for Souls" project. Every man we visited on death row and the hospital received a pair of wool blend socks and candy canes. We gave away 180 pairs of socks. Thanks for helping us help others in 2017.
We love all of you so much and thank you for loving Him, Us and People. Without you, there would be no us. Richard & Phyllis Proverbs 11:30
